Woodlands Town Center Introduces Trolley System

Beginning July 4th, the much anticipated Town Center Trolleys arrived to board passengers with free service for the 10th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza in The Woodlands Town Center.
Regular service started July 5th and service runs daily with three trolleys operating from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Regular stops will be made at the Community Center/South Montgomery County Library, Town Green Park, Central Park at Market Street, the South entrance to The Woodlands Mall, and Woodloch Forest Drive at Ring Road. Trolleys will operate along The Woodlands Waterway with stops at Landry's and Anadarko as well as Woodloch Forest Drive at the Waterway Avenue Bridge, Marriott South entrance along The Waterway and the South Pavilion exit along The Waterway.
The 35 passenger trolleys, each ADA compliant, will make their regular, dedicated stops, however they also will make stops for pedestrians along the route. The trolleys are a two year pilot project made possible by a partnership between Town Center Improvement District and the Houston Galveston Area Council. At the end of the two year period, organizers will assess rider ship data.
The trolleys give the Town Center another unique selling point, in addition to providing an effective mode of transportation for those who work, live and visit the area.
